Is Provisional Degree Certificate accepted?

Hi All,

I have tried searching this forum but couldn't find relevant post...

I graduated in B.Sc. General (PCM) in the year 2002 but my university hasn't awarded a degree certificate yet (yes its strange!).

I have got a provisional degree certificate and a letter from university stating that the original degree certificate hasn't been awarded yet.

-- Is a Provisional Degree Certificate + Letter from Univ + 3 years marksheet accepted as a Degree Proof? In caseworker guidance its mentioned that it will be accepted in case of "exceptional circumstances".

-- Also, is B.Sc. General course awarded 30 points for graduation (Points calculator on BIA website has awarded 30 points on selection)? I am asking this because in Caseworker Guidance, its mentioned that degree should be Honours.

Quoted from tier 1 general policy guidance :

The original certificate of award must always be
provided unless the applicant is awaiting graduation
having successfully completed their degree or the
applicant no longer has the certificate and the
institution who issued the certificate is unable to
produce a replacement. In which case he/she should
send:
2) An original academic reference from the institution
that is awarding the degree together with an original
academic transcript:

So, would it be considered???

Hi,

Can anyone please throw some light on "exceptional circumstances", i.e.,

i) How to request consideration of "exceptional circumstances".
ii) What are the chances of success? Any experiences?
