I have compiled most of the documents but I have a few questions. My son was born outside of the UK. Mother is not British and I was naturislised and received my passport in 2006.

These are requirements after I filled in the online application

When was your son born abroad? After or before you became British?

He was born after. I got my passport in 2006 and he was born in 2020.

Would I need to send my passport with the application? It doesn't ask for it in the documents section just the passport number in the application.

And should I translate his birth certificate etc?

Thank you in advance

Child’s Birth Certificate. Translation yes it it is not in English.
And your British Passport copy is enough.

Your child born abroad is British by birth by descent.

Are you making an overseas British Passport application??

Include your Naturalisation certificate, mother’s consent and marriage certificate also. Grand parent’s documents are not needed.
