English Proficiency Test Issue

Post by Powerranger » Tue Dec 15, 2020 11:18 am

Hi,

I am Pakistani National based in Republic of Ireland, my husband is British and we are applying for my spouse visa for U.K, I attached my ACCA Qualification Certificate and Ielts (academic version) result which is expired as from our previous experiences we saw that was accepted by the immigration. But now my solicitor is saying rule changed in 2016 and they introduced new Ielts skills A1 specifically for spouse visa.

But issue is the latest available appointment is in March and July and we cannot delay the visa any further.

Could any of you be able to help in guiding if we can still submit the visa with the above 2 certificates or I really have to go for Ielts when we are at the edge of submitting the application and couldn't afford to delay the visa any further and request them to do the Ielts once I reach U.K?

Badly need help on this urgently.

Thanks in advance

Do you have a UK visit visa? What is your status in Ireland?

Unfortunately I do not see a work around in this case. You can prove your knowledge of English by passing an approved English language test with at least a CEFR level A1 in speaking and listening. However, if there is no availability till March, you can not do much about it :(
I attached my ACCA Qualification Certificate and Ielts (academic version) result which is expired as from our previous experiences we saw that was accepted by the immigration.
Which experience?
