You will have a peaceful christmas/new year![]()
HO has your full history. Old passports and the latest BRP would do. But separately, I have all my important docs scanned and saved on G Cloud.harryisababy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 11:55 amWas just bored and checking the checklist, it says I should include:
All previous passports, travel documents or national identity cards that you have used to travel to or
remain in the UK
So I am on 5 year family route, does that include my first BRP card (which I don't have anymore)?
Would that cause any issue? Thanks!!
PS: I've been having actual nightmares about this. I dreamt that they emailed me requesting more documents, I didn't reply immediately, and they already started processing other applications and forgot about me.
No, just the current BRP.harryisababy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 11:55 amWas just bored and checking the checklist, it says I should include:

AND the passport(s) covering your qualifying period only. National ID card is irrelevant.ajitu92 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 12:06 pmNo, just the current BRP.harryisababy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 11:55 amWas just bored and checking the checklist, it says I should include:

Indeed. OP's question seemed to be specific regarding the first BRP card which s/he held, though.CULLINAN wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 1:07 pmAND the passport(s) covering your qualifying period only. Hi, Approval email received yesterday. Appreciate all your help. Regardsajitu92 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 9:54 amShould be imminent given the trend (hopefully before Christmas!). Still no response. Any idea when it will be?

I wonder if this would have any impact on future appointments... I will apply in mid-Jan...
Most likely it will not impact UKVCAS appointments as appointments carried as normal even in Nov lockdown- unless there are stricter guidelines or changes in the future. Best to keep an eye on the UKVCAS updates in the following working days.camil wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 4:47 pmI wonder if this would have any impact on future appointments... 4 outstanding applications for Set LR between 29th and 31st August. September Set LR approvals have started coming through though...all the 1st September ones are done and 1 outstanding from 2nd September (all from my dataset). Desperately awaiting my approval too, but I applied on 8th September which means it's most likely not coming before Christmas
You never know you get a surprise before Christmas! Keep the hopes and positive vibes up!ajitu92 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 8:14 pm4 outstanding applications for Set LR between 29th and 31st August. Its almost end of December now and I haven't heard anything back from HO yet. Yes my case is pretty straightforward. Don't know if it has anything to do with applying through a solicitor too. But even from the beginning I always felt I had a bit more of a delay than others, as it took me a while to secure an appointment (7th September). So hoping im just a week or so behind now..ajitu92 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 5:46 pm
hmmm interesting. Yes, a few but at the risk of making you feel worse (but in the interest of transparency) that is 5 out of 45 July Set LR applicants still outstanding. If 3 are genuinely complex cases (seems like it from their post history, but I'm not the Home Office or UKVI, so I can't be certain), it would mean that they wouldn't follow the normal trend anyway. So that only leaves 2, yourself and @Amy_R88. Quite bizarre given your past visas, but then again they do say 6 months SLA. Just hang in there, it will come through eventually. Good luck!![]()
I know they say 6months, but looking at others who applied before the pandemic, the latest was always 5 months.. so really hoping it comes before xmas. Thank you so much for the support
I'm also waiting.![]()

Write to HO with evidence and send via recorded post.Billy123 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 10:23 pmHi,
It has been a week since I have called the HO helpline for escalation due to family member passed away on my Set M ILR visa. All I receive is a email saying it has been passed on to a appropriate team and they will contact me for documents. Every time after that when I call them they just say the only thing they can do is re-escalate it, if still no reply then I can call them back in 48 hours and re-escalate again. I find this really useless so I wrote to my MP for escalation on Thursday 17th and he wrote to them on the same day. Just wondering does anyone really escalate their case by calling the HO helpline or MP, do they respond to MP? And if HO helpline really work, do you need to call every time in order to chase it and when will you be contact for documents? Thank you guys!
You're not alone! Let's both keep our fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle!ajitu92 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 10:01 pmTrying hard...still hoping and keeping my fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle!CULLINAN wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 8:16 pmYou never know you get a surprise before Christmas! Hi, what is HO email addresss if you could please tell me? Since the HO helpline said I can’t contact them, I can only wait to get contacted. Thanks!CULLINAN wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 10:25 pmWrite to HO with evidence and send via recorded post.Billy123 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 10:23 pmHi,

Hi Amy, nothing at all. My MP also said nothing received and also still no reply after I complained on that online form on Gov.uk. 24th December is our 6months. So I guess that's Christmas and 2020 gone with no decision.Amy_R88 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 9:33 pmIts almost end of December now and I haven't heard anything back from HO yet.
