Spouse Visa - ILETS score

Hi,

Can someone please help clarify. For spouse visa if we opt to take ILETS academic (C1) what are the minimum scores / overall avg required in reading, writing and speaking modules. I am slightly confused as i read on UKBA website that its 7 overall and for individual modules min 7 as well.

It seems unusually high while at the same time one can go for life Skills A1 as min req. What if someone has an avg 6.5 overall in ILETS academic C1 that's still a lot higher qualification? is that acceptable for spouse visa?.

There are other reasons for going down the academic ILETS route as we want use the qualification later on for advance study purposes.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Please note IELTS academic is acceptable as long as it is for UKVI.

Higher test such as B1 can be used for spouse visa, FLR and ILR as long as it is has been used previous application.
