returning resident visa

Post by d_arjun » Sat Dec 26, 2020 11:43 am

I am an indian who lived in england from Aug 2004 till dec 2011. During that time, i worked on work permit, HSMP and then got ILR. my wife and my daughter got British Citizenship. In january 2012, i came back to india and till now i am in india and never visited UK. I had a divorce with my wife. My daughter is british and i am taking care of her. Now i want to go back to UK. Wanted to know which option is best of following

Returning resident visa
or Family member visa

In case of returning resident visa, do i need to show that i have enough money and i can settle there without
recourse to public funds?

See also Returning Residents.

How old is your daughter and is she living with you?

If you are applying for entry clearance as a single parent, then
you should have sole responsibility and
you should have adequate accommodation and maintenance and
she must be living in the UK, etc.
