Hi Cullian,
I have just shared recent developments - still fast evolving developments. You need to keep a look at the news and UKVCAS updates. UKVCAS appointments should go ahead as planned unless something new comes up. More people will be urged to work from home, this may or may not impact processing speed. No one can comment for now.Kumar555 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 4:49 pmHi Cullian,
I saw your previous post where you said UKVCAS is a essential service, So just trying to make sure that finger print Appointments won't be closed.
Also I understand that the CW will continue to work on the submitted applications even if we go on full lockdown.
I have got appointment at Birmingham(New) Crossway, 156 Great Charles Street, Queensway, 0700 AM on 6th Jan 21.
Apologies if this is a repeated stupid question.
Thanks a lot! Will keep an eye on Govt updateCULLINAN wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 4:56 pmI have just shared recent developments - still fast evolving developments. Not sure, but majority applications are processed in Sheffield and Liverpool.
Cheers! You're a walking encyclopedia!CULLINAN wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 5:19 pmNot sure, but majority applications are processed in Sheffield and Liverpool.

Confirmed.
Indeed. Lets see what happens with UKVCAS and processing times for all those who are waiting...
This lockdown is here to stay till Feb/March most likely.
Sounds like it. He was talking about schools possibly returning AFTER the Feb half term
Oh, gosh. I am still waiting for my application outcome. Would it mean I will not hear until mid Feb?
Thank you! I noticed the most recent LR approvals are for the ones who applied on 2nd Sep, hope we can get results in a week or two!
Most public services will continue as normal with strict covid safe measures in place.
Yeah, there have been approvals for a couple of applications further on in September (reported on Facebook) but they seem to be exceptions.
This is good news in terms of UKVCAS appointments still going ahead. Not sure whether/how much this applies to caseworkers working on completed applications (post biometric submission). I have seen a fair number of people on various forums claiming that caseworkers are working from home, but no concrete evidence of that being the case.CULLINAN wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 8:37 pmMost public services will continue as normal with strict covid safe measures in place.

Probably by now HO would have strict measures in place to handle lockdowns. Hopefully should be okay.ajitu92 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 9:40 pmThis is good news in terms of UKVCAS appointments still going ahead.
