SECTION 7.6 SET(M) forms and ILR

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can advise me regarding section 7.6 in SET(M) form.

I am filling up SET(M) forms on the basis of marriage visa, We are claiming Child Tax Credit jointly. In section 7.6 under Child Tax Credit should i tick both Boxes or just one next to spouse?

Someone advised me that i need to tick one box next to spouse but today i called in PEO office for booking appointment and asked him the same question but he mentioned that i need to tick both boxes.

Could anyone please clear this confusion?

5.1.3 Partner is allowed to claim tax credits

Claims for child and working tax credits must be made jointly in the case of a couple. If only one member of a couple is subject to immigration, then for tax credits purposes neither are treated as being subject to immigration control. (This is unlike other benefits such as child benefit, which are assessed and paid individually).

As it's a joint claim, I think that both boxes may be ticked. However, see also Benifits:effecting ILR.
