NHS GP as referee's profession for Citizenship application

Hi all,

I was hoping to get some help around the referee information that is asked at the time of making an application for British Citizenship.

I am in the process of applying for my wife's British citizenship who has held an ILR for the last year and a half now. I am using Form AN.

With regards to Referees, we are struggling to find someone who falls in the list of accepted professions listed here https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 1.0EXT.pdf (page 24)

One of the referees is a British national but unemployed. The other is an NHS GP who is a family friend of ours.

I was hoping to ask if someone has used a referral from an NHS GP in their applications and if yes did they face any problems?
