COS after approving ILR

Hi All,

I hope you are well and safe. I have a question. I informed my employer that my ILR application has been approved (Tier 2 General 5 years route), and they are wondering if there is anything that need to be done in their sponsor management system, like canceling COS?

Please note that my Tier 2 dependent (Wife) application for ILR is still being considered, (pending biometric submission) would canceling the COS affect her application? My son application to register as a British citizen is also being considered, pending biometrics submission.

I suggest they wait until your wife's visa is also approved.
A nationality application for your son is NOT an immigration application so this has no bearing on it.

Your employer has a duty to update SMS with your change in immigration status. This will not impact any other immigration applications.
