Will I get notified by email when my approval letter be issued?

I want to travel abroad after submitting my documents. Will I get notified by email when my approval letter be issued? Or it only comes by normal mail?

I heard it's only 14 days after receiving of that letter to act further, so I don't want to miss that.

Usually these days approval letter is sent via email but it can be sent via post also. I received my approval letter via post.
