Documentation needed for UK citizenship application under EU settled status

Post by Beregard » Thu Jan 21, 2021 8:07 pm

Good evening,

Apologies if this question has already been answered, this board is both amazing...and overwhelming.

I plan to apply for UK citizenship with my settled status. The Guidance Notes (December 2020) state that I need to prove residence for the whole five years of the "Qualifying Period", but do not give many details about what documentation they might accept as proof of this residence (they mention "letters from employers, payslips, P60s, educational establishments or other government departments
indicating the applicant’s presence in the United Kincgdom during the relevant period").

Can anyone tell me what sort of documentation I should ideally look for, and the quantity/temporal spread of "residence documentation" I should ideally provide for each year of the Qualifying Period?

So far I have gathered P60s, bank accounts & credit card statements, NHS letters, mortgage & letting agreements, phone bills. Is there anything else I could include, for instance invoices?

Many thanks in advance

Just a P60 per year will suffice. There is no requirement for multiple documents. In my case I provided just one letter from my employer covering the residency period. Statements or similar no required.
