ILR with Tier1

ILR with Tier1

I will be completing 5 years in nov 2008. Initially I was on Work Permit and in aug 08 I changed to Teir1(General) valid till 2011.

Today when I called PEO for an appointment for ILR, I was told that for Tier1 General Visa, the ILR needs to be applied only by Post and not in Person. If I apply by post then it will take 4 to 14 weeks for processing.

Has anyone here had the same issue. Please let me know.

You can still submit courier application which means using solicitor or immigration firm for same day processing if you think your application is straightward. 4 weeks is not a long period to wait for straighward application. For complex cases, Even if you apply in person, if it requires additional scrutiny,you won't get ILR same day and have wait up to 14 weeks.

Are you sure that submitting application by courier is possible/eligible for same day processing?
Can you provide any links about it? It's importat.
