ICT to Skilled Work from outside the UK

Hi, I'm looking for some guidance on the below scenario

I have a valid Tier 2 ICT and moved from UK to India few weeks back working for the same employer there. I now need to switch to a new employer in the UK. Can the application be done from India OR can it be done from within UK only?

If both are possible, which one is typically faster and are there any pros and cons to note?

Can the application be done from India OR can it be done from within UK only?

Both are possible but different types of CoS would be needed depending on where you will be applying from and applying from outside the UK is likely to take longer.

If you are thinking of eventually applying for ILR on the 10 year route you would also need to consider the continuity of residence issue.

Another issue is the start date of the new job in view of the notice needed to quit your present job
