Need advice for my spouse vissa application

Post by Davrz » Sat Feb 06, 2021 9:32 pm

Hi,

Need advice for my wife's application please. She is in India we became married in November '20. Regarding employment, as I have two jobs, do the home office require employment contracts for both or can just a letter of employment for both suffice? (Does it also need be be within so many days of submitting the application?)

The second matter is that my wife took the Ielets exam in August 2019 and passed. However my solicitor has advised me that the centre she took the test in is no longer on the Home Office's approved centres list which was updated in December 2020. My wife went to the Ielets office in India, Jalandhar and they are saying she isn't allowed to re take the test within two years having passed previously. They are also not providing a letter stating this, they informed her "check the official website of the rules". As August is quite some time away to re take the test, can anyone advise us what to do? Would it be wise to submit the application with the possibility of knowing that if we have a cynical decision maker reviewing our application, they will fail it under for the ielets exam reason?

Appreciate any help!

1. Employment letter should suffice from both employers because employment contract are optional.
2. IELTS is still on the approved and the test centres is still there.

Do the letters of employment need to be within specific dates of submitting the application?

Regarding IELTS, my wife completed and passed her exam in August 19, however my solicitor states that the test centre is not on the current aprroved test centres list by the home office. They won't allow my wife to take a new test until after August this year as the two year time lapse will then pass. So was wondering what to do.

1. 28 days prior before the submitting your application online.
2. Click the link above and scroll down till you see the list of test taken outside of the UK. Open the Excel file and you will check the address of the place where you wife had the test.
