Financial Evidence

Post by ProfessorRambo » Mon Feb 15, 2021 6:12 pm

Dear Admins,

Need guidance please -

I am currently on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa from last 2 years and its valid until Mid 2022.

Whilst in the UK, I am currently pursuing masters 2020-21. To leverage the 2 year post study visa -

1) I believe I cannot switch within UK and have to apply by visiting my home country. Is that correct?

2) I was jut browsing through the university and tier 4 gov.uk site, it says only financial evidence can be from my parents or own account. Can I not show my husband's bank account statements as a proof? we have already paid two fee installments from his account.

3) Also for Tier 4 visa on https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/money
it says below
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you do not need to prove you have money to support yourself
You do not need to prove the financial requirement if:

you’ve had a UK visa for 12 months prior to the date of your Student visa application - you must currently be in the UK
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you please clarify on the exact documentation required?

No. The final details have not yet been announced, but it is clear that you can only apply in the UK, and only by switching from a Tier 4 or Student route visa.

Thanks.

Can you please answer second question. Can we use my husband source of funds as financial evidence?

I need to travel to my home country to switch to Tier 2 ICT dependent to Tier 4 first.

Where are you reading that you need to travel to your home country to apply for a Student visa? You do not.

Thanks for your assistance Sir!

I think this was not the case couple of sometime back and and it was mandatory for ICT dependents to switch to Tier4/student visa.I confirmed it from home office customer care and they also confirmed the same.

I have been in the UK on ICT dependent visa for more than 12 months however unemployed.

Do we still need to show any funds evidence, please?. If so, can we show my partner funds proof?

This is going round in circles. You already quoted the relevant information in your first post above.
