Asking HO for a copy of invitation letter may delay it longer. The best is to contact your council and explain the situation. They might allow you to attend without the ceremony invitation letter. Every council works in a different manner, some are strict while some are lenient.svetlana92 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 11:14 amSo any ideas? I think I may just cancel and request another copy of the invitation letter from the home office email.
How did you loose it? Did you receive it in post or email? Did you not take a photo if you received in post? Do you not have a copy or photo of it?
Do they actually send the invitation letters via email? I got mine in the post. I am sure it is somewhere in the house but cannot find it...
That is great it is sorted! Yes, ceremony invitations can be sent via email or post. I received mine via email. Anyways, good you found yours.svetlana92 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 12:23 pmThe registrar are advising that one needs to present the letter to the camera prior to the ceremony, there is a separate private waiting room where only the registrar and you are on. Fortunately I just found the letter, it had fallen behind the fridge..
