Working Holiday visa

Hi,
I am on working holiday visa and had a contract job which was to end in October. In this job I asked to be made permanent and everything look good as they wanted to apply for a work permit for me.
Prior to this I had an admission for my masters programme but just this Sept the company changed their mind since they wanted to downsize their staff so I decided to go on the course.
I then need a student visa and now you cannot switch from Working holiday to student in the UK except you come back to your country.
The visa expires in December and lectures is on going.
It would take me at least two weeks to process my application.
The question is can I still continue my course and after first semester returned home to apply or just apply for student visa in the country?

There is nothing to stop you commencing the course while your WH visa is still valid.

Hi Adamis,

Are you sure the school wont be writing any exams before your current WHM visa expires? If not, then you can go ahead but having it in mind that you have to leave the UK about a month to give you leeway in applying for your student visa in your country of origin.
