So our plan was to move to my country at the end of last year. But a side-effect of Covid was that my husband's job possibility fell through, in fact his intended place of work have now an austerity policy until Dec 2022, but I think he will find something else around Jun/Jul this year when things calm down with covid. It seems such a waste of so much money for me to apply for the visa just to stay 4 more months, but I'm not seeing any way around it. I mean, I'm just tempted to try and overstay for the 4 months, maybe getting deported would be a blessing and save me an air fare? Am I being completely ridiculous? I sometimes wonder whether these lockdowns have seriously impaired my judgement.
We could probably have lived apart for that time, but we have two children, and they would probably have to stay in the UK because they would need health insurance if they came with me. If they stay in the UK, this is going to challenge my husband's work situation. Buying the visa also puts a serious dent in our meagre savings.
Thank you for your advice, I guess I just need to do it as soon as possible before this 14 days that you mention finishes.
Thanks.
