Hi all,
I've been asked to supply an original birth certificate issued within the last 3 months.
The one I got from my local register office (which holds my original birth certificate) is a copy of my long-form orginal on fancy green paper stating "this is a certified copy of an entry..." and signed and dated by the registrar.
The ones from the GRO central office are similar but stamped and dated.
It will have to be appostilled and translated before I can use it.
Does this count as an "original" birth certificate?
Is it possible to get a red/white birth certificate or is this "certified copy" the only version available?
I was born in the early 80's before they started doing everything on computer.
Thanks,
Chris
