maintenance of funds - bank statement for 3 mths or 15 mths

Hi All

As per my understanding, One needs to have maintained a minimm of GBP 2800 at all times for last 3 months, and as a proof needs to submit the bank statement for 3 months to prove the same.

But when i called VFS guys in bangalore today, they said that i need to give bank statement for last 15 months, of which latest 3 months should show minimum balance equivalent of GBP 2800.


Is there a change in RULE ?

Has any one of you submitted last 15 months statement for showing maintenance of funds.

(My sal acc is different from the one in which i am maintaining the balance.)

then why VFS guys are saying 15 months. Are they authorized to give wrong information.

Saurabh, please read on policy guidance in the UK Home office site to clarrify all your doubts. For your earnings you can show last 15 months Bank statements but for maintenance you have to show minimum of last 3 months bank statements reflecting minimum of GBP2800 and should never fall below that amount with in those 3 months immediately before filing.
