PhD degree requirement for the job

Hi,

My employer has mentioned that PhD is required for the job in the CoS for Skilled worker visa, although they knew that I have not been awarded the degree yet as I am in writing up stage. My employer has mentioned in PhD justification part of CoS that I am about to receive the degree and I am not yet awarded it.

From what I have understood, PhD qualification is only required to get the 20 tradable points, but I will get that without PhD as the salary is higher than the ongoing rate and the job is on a shortage list. Do you think it will create any issue? My employer said they have done the same thing for another application and there was no issue.
