uploading documents

Post by mayyur123 » Sat Mar 13, 2021 11:20 pm

Hi, my child's application is in process. now i have to upload documents. can i take good quality pics of the documents from my mobile and upload them or do i must have to scan them?
and there is a section "proof of application", what document should i upload in it? checklist or application form needs to be uploaded in this section or something else?
and after uploading documents should i submit them right away or on the day when biometrics will be taken?
thanks.

Best if you can number your questions for the members to easily respond:

1) Your wish. JPEG or PDF both are acceptable. I would suggest to keep it as organised as possible.

2) Proof of application usually explicitly states what needs to be uploaded. Read the small print under. Usually it is the passport that goes there.

3) No checklist needed. It will state there. Usually passport.

4) Self-submission is OPTIONAL. If you want to benefit from the new feature, you must upload and self-submit up to 48hrs before the appointment. If you do NOT want to self-submit, you can upload ANYTIME before the appointment date and submit at the appointment itself. Self-submission is recommended as you may save some processing time - your documents are sent to UKVI even before biometrics in this case. You can self-submit only ONCE. But if you forget to upload any documents, you can always upload later on (after self-submission) and submit at the appointment then (you will not be able to self-submit again but can submit at appointment- UKVCAS staff will do for you then).

Read “self-submit” “submit” “upload” separately.

Thank you so much for detail answer. I really appreciate it. Thanks.
And for referee forms, should front side needs to be uploaded only or photo’s back also needs to be uploaded with name an date of birth on it?
One more time, Thanks a lot for your time.

Ignore the DOB/name on the back of the photo. Now everything is scanned. The old referee form version is not updated since new online system came in place. Just paste the photo and get referee to sign the form. Scan and upload. Keep originals safe till a decision is made.

On biometric appointment at ukvcas will they submit applicant's original passports (current and expired both) and send them to Home Office or will they just scan them and return them same time? i am asking this because my child doesn't have any traveling history since he was born here in the UK, he never travelled outside of the UK. So on documents uploading page in travel history section do i still have to scan all pages of current and old passports or UKVCAS will automatically must submit and send original passports to the Home Office so they can see full passport themselves?

No original documents are submitted to UKVI - so you keep your passport/BRP & other original documents.

So if there is no travel history and Original passports will not be sent to UKVI then do i have to upload online all pages of old and new passports or no need to scan all pages because there is no travel history?

If there's no travel history then the personal detail pages should be ok - but travel history for child registration is not required as far as I know.
