Help and clarification please

I need urgent help as I am completely unsure what should be my next actions from here.
I have submitted an online application for naturalization on 7th July 2020 but by mistake, I answered "Are you in the UK" to NO, whereas I am in UK and applied within UK.
When I made the payment then I have got a confirmation email to send all my documents to the home office and wait for further communication on enrolling the biometric.
I have sent the cover letter along with my documents for the mistake I have made in the online form. I have also sent an email to "furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk".
Despite the above steps, I have not received any communication on enrolling the biometric and hence application can not progress further.I called home office and they asked me to sent an email to the biometric team which I have done but no response from this team as well.
Can someone please help me with what should I do?

Why did you not withdraw your application in July 2020? and applied again? That was the easiest to do. You will be chasing your biometrics forever otherwise as you chose the wrong option “outside UK” to start with.

There was no option to withdraw.I wrote to home office and got email that your cover letter has been passed over to the caseworker. But for biometric, I am still stuck. Is there any way I can get an enrollment letter for biometric?

Not sure. Dealing with HO department can be stressful and may take ages. You could have simply withdrawn your application online in July 2020 AND applied for a new application. As long you did not submit your biometrics, you would have got a refund.

You may still want to consider doing that (but obviously the date of application will be when you apply again) OR wait for HO to get back.

Had things gone well in July 2020, you would be British by now.
