How can i fallow up my application

Post by muhammadimranpak » Wed Mar 24, 2021 1:32 am

The above underlined information’s are relating to me for an application submitted for Indefinite Leave to Remain on 5th May 2020. I was on spouse visa which was due to finished on 6th June 2020, and I made the application within the time for ILR along with all relevant documents through Sopra Steria.

As I stated my application was submitted on 5th of May 2020 and it was submitted without the (LIFE IN THE UK) Test and English B1 test. The reason was Covid-19 Lock down at that point every test centre had been closed. Several Times my test had to be changed and booked again. Later on I passed my test on 11th June and submitted to Sopra Steria on 13th June 2020.

While all this time I was waiting for the Biometrics’ date and not booked through all nearby centres due to corona virus. Later on 8th of AUG 2020 I was told that I am eligible to submit documents through IDV app and I am exempted from new biometric whereas old details will be used for this application. After an invitation through a link for IDV App I submitted the face photo and passport front page on 27th Aug 2020.
Kindly i need some advised what to do next sent letters to home office no reply also complaints sent via email no response I don't no what do do its really stressful now.

If I understood correct, you passed your English Test and LIUK on 11th June 2020 and uploaded on the UKVCAS portal on the 13th Jan 2020.
You then submitted your documents (already uploaded via UKVCAS portal) and biometrics via the IDV app (digital photo and passport photo) on the 27th August 2020?

If you log in your UKVCAS account, open each file and see does that say “submitted”?

Which address did you contact HO?
Where did you send the email?

I would suggest you send an email to the following email address explaining the delay situation. Add how it is affecting your daily life and causing you mental health issues. HO takes mental health seriously. Given corona lockdowns, it just adds to it!
Also add any other reasons you maybe facing due to your visa delay and request to expedite the case.

Also add a cover letter and attach the LIUK/English Test certificate or reference numbers again.

Email:
UKVISETM@homeoffice.gov.uk

Also, make an official complaint:
Official complaints are dealt by a different department in HO so they take it seriously.
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... -procedure

Wait for a week and see if HO responds. If not, contact your local MP so he can contact HO on your behalf.

Your case has clearly taken more than average time. Usually these days SET(M) is taking 6-7 months. Yours has taken around 9 months already. There is no guarantee how long it takes as it depends on case to case but 9 months delay is ridiculous. Better keep chasing HO even if they do not respond.

Did you by any chance move address after applying?
Have you been checking your email/junk folder regularly?

I would advise you send your English Test and LIUK again to Home Office.
Mention your UAN/CaseID/Name/DOB/Nationality. Send via first class recorded delivery.
The Sheffield address you have is fine. Just make sure you mention your UAN/CaseID so it can be matched with your application. HO will transfer internally to the relevant department.
Also send the cover letter/English Test/LIUK as an attachment in the email to UKVISETM@homeoffice.gov.uk
And make an official complaint via the link given in my previous post.
If nothing helps for another 7-10 days, contact your MP.
