BC application ILR (Tire2, 5 years route)

Post by shumon1975 » Sun Feb 14, 2021 10:03 pm

Hello All,

We (myself, my wife, and 2 daughters) were granted ILR in 2016 October on Tire2 (5 years residency).
For various reasons (personal), we could not apply for the BC earlier.

Now, we plan to apply.
Could you please suggest the current procedures for the following schemes:

We want to get our documents checked and submit our application online. we want to keep our passports and ILR Biometric cards for traveling.

What are the steps: apply online, make an appointment, get documents checked, pay...etc (I am not sure about the orders)?

Your kind suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Stay safe.

You just scan and upload your documents - no originals are submitted - you keep them.
Not sure what you mean by travel documents, but you don't need any your passport/BRP is sufficient, plus test results and referee declarations.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

thanks a lot for quick reply.
I would bother you a bit more with another Q:

What does self-submission mean? Is it different that typical online submission?

Cheers

You can self-submit your documents AFTER you apply online and BEFORE biometrics (optional).

Step 1 is to apply online.

You ALL as a family can apply ONLINE in the same ACCOUNT.

But every one has to meet the requirements individually. There is no dependent concept for Naturalisation or registering a child as British Citizen.

As long all of you meet the requirements individually, you can apply in the SAME account.

You can start the AN link as stated above and create your account. Fill your form first. The same account will let you add family members.

Add them one by one and choose the category appropriately when adding them for example, “partner” “child below 18” or “child above 18.” For child below 18, the form will automatically adapt to Form MN1.

You will have to fill individual forms but can all be in the same account.

Read: “Account” and “form” separately.
