If you are British citizen otherwise than by descent meaning if you naturalised or born in the UK etc then any of your child born abroad will become British automatically and they will become British by descent.Johannlondon1979 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 7:05 pmI became a British citizen in 2017. Born in South Africa.
I have been living in the UK from 2006 - 2018.
I intend to return end of this year (2021)
My partner is expecting our child (due in October)
She wants to have our child in her home country. South America.
My question is.
Would the child be entitled to British citizenship?
Thank you

You may want to send certified copies initially. They will probably want to see originals but perhaps you could then arrange an appointment at a consulate for a consular officer to view them and copy them. Explain everything on a covering letter with the application.
Otherwise - find yourself a good UK immigration solicitor to deal with the application.
