Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and I hope I'll find some help.
I'm very confused about the application to get British Citizenship.
I've been granted the ILR under the immigration rule in April 2019 and I'm using it to apply for naturalization. Now, section 3 of the online form shows the list of the documents I need to send, it is written:
Mr xxxxxx xxxxxx's proof of Nationality
You must include your:
- passport or EEA national identity card
- UK permanent residence card
- evidence of freedom from immigration time restrictions
You must have a permanent residence card before you can apply for citizenship.
Apply for a permanent residence card.
About the evidence of freedom from immigration time restrictions, if I remember well, I've read somewhere on this forum that I can use the share code created on the GOV website as evidence, is that correct?
About the permanent residence card, I just don't have it, and I can not apply for it anymore, so I don't know what to do. I don't even understand exactly why they are asking me for such a document since I'm not applying by using a permanent residence status.
Does anybody have the same issue? Is there any other document I can use?
