Absence letter and passport mismatch!!

Post by coriander » Fri Apr 30, 2021 1:19 pm

Dear all,

Many thanks for the posts which were really helpful. I've got 2 questions to ask and share the case.

1. I'm planning to submit my ILR application soon via the 5-year Tier 2 route and have got my Absence letter from my former employer which is great. However, one business travel (international conference) is missing on the absence list, so wonder if a cover letter explaining there is a set of missing dates (1 week, doesn't influence on the 180-day limit).
Would a cover letter be enough to be safe for the ILR application?

2. My current employer has given me a letter confirming my employment with ann the necessary information and inserted 'XXX has not been absent from the UK since the start at XXXXX' rather than an absence table because I started my new job during the first lockdown and had no holidays abroad. Do I still need to have a separate absence table (I've just had a 5-day annual leave, stayed in the UK)?

Thank you for your support! :D

Best wishes,
Coriander

Your employer can simply say that your absences from work were approved by them. They are not required to give the details
