Switching from 10 year Parent route to Partner route

Post by Tom no engine » Wed May 26, 2021 9:13 am

Hi guys, hope everyone is doing ok.
So I’ve spent the last 6 years on a parent route visa. I have one more renewal left before I complete 10 years to qualify for ILR. I have recently moved in with my partner who lives in a council house. We have a 2 year old daughter together, I have 2 kids from a previous relationship and she has 2 kids from a previous relationship so I’m total we have 5 kids. I earn roughly £32000 a year.
My question is, will my clock reset when I apply for what should be my last extension? I take it I will have to apply as a partner. Will the time spent on the parent visa count or will I have to start from zero again. Please help.
