Student Visa

My friend is on student visa and his wife is dependent visa. My friend is continuing his studies. Their visa is valid until 30th Nov 08.

Now wife would like to apply for student visa from their country of origin next week. If for any reason her visa is refused, will they have any problem to return to UK?
