can I do second job or freelance after getting ILR?

Hi, I am a former T2 work visa holder who now has UL ILR since 2019 (still working full-time as a Genomics Scientist, for same employer).

Recently, I have had a few freelance offers to do some minor (paid) analysis work related to my field. Am wondering if I am allowed to take this up under ILR rules? I know a limited hours of part-time secondary work could be done under T2 visa but does ILR allow me to have a second job? Don't want to break any ILR or tax rules so want to confirm before I accept or decline it. thanks!

People with settled status (ILR) have no work restrictions in the UK at all. You are free to do as you wish.
