HSMP 3 Months, minimum waiting time

Post by Chess » Fri Apr 23, 2004 12:01 pm

Its official, the backlogs are getting longer and I suspect by the end of this year 2004. The minimum waiting time will be six (6) months:

I suspect that the following will happen very soon:

1) pass score will increase thus cutting lots of apps
2) it will be harder to get points
3) application cost will increase considerably

good thing I got my HSMP in dec'03 :)

I agree with AtW. What I fear is that after the EU enlargement on 1 May the HSMP may be discontinued or suspended until EU states see what happens with unemployment across the EU.

Having said this, I also believe really skilled, internationally qualified professionals will still be able to work in UK/EU - be it via HSMP or something else...

I laughed when I saw this. My application is going on to 8mths. the best I heard from HSMP is that it's been assigned to a case worker. I wonder how long this would take.
