Conditional caution with letter of apology

Post by rmoore » Fri Aug 13, 2021 12:08 pm

Hello,

I am currently on ILR and I have received a conditional caution and asked to give letter of apology.

Does this affect my current immigration and will it impact my application for naturalisation?

Thanks.

It has no effect on your current status however you cannot get citizenship unless at least 3 years have passed from the date of your caution.

Thank you for your response.

So I need to wait for 3 years before I apply for citizenship.

Will it affect if my ILR BRP expires within these 3 years? Will I be able to get a new BRP?
