Tier 1 Important Questions (Entry Clearence)

Post by abdik1980 » Mon Oct 13, 2008 12:15 pm

I am planning to apply in Jan, 2009. I have following questions please guide me:

1- I have passed IELTS with overall band score 6.5 but IELTS individual category score is not 6.5.

Speaking 6.5
Reading 6.0
Writing 6.0
Listening 6.5

Am I eligible to apply for Tier 1?

2- I have just deposited 2900 pounds in newly opened GBP foreign currency account and will apply after 3 months. i will maintain the balance of 2900 pounds during these 3 months. Will they accept it as proof for maintennace fund? Should i also show them the source of these savings? Should these savings from my salary or could be from any source?

3- I am a salaried employee and have just gotten annual bonus from my company. Will they accept bonus with salary as my previous earnings?

Your help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

It can be any source, but i think [not sure], you need to mention the source of earnings, check with your local VFS office to be sure.

Yes. More details mentioned in Tier 1 policy guide

Friends:

One thing more you told me that BHC accepts the bonus if it was mentioned on the salary slip. Let me explain you my case:

My company had deposited monthly salary of Aug in my bank account on 2nd sept. 2008 while performance based bonus was given to me on 23rd sept, 2008 and deposited on the same day in my bank account. In this case; should my company have to mention this bonus on my salary slip of Aug? Please note that both salary and bounus were deposited in my bank account separately. Please guide.

I am paid my salary + Anual Bonus.
Bonus is not mentioned on my Pay slips. SO I am just fighting with my HR to provide Pay slips for that.

Dear zion77, could you please send me the format of bonus earned to my email satinder.saini@gmail.com

Also tell me about which guideline of Tier one accept bonus as a part of salary?

Yes my office gave me separate slip for bonus and it could also be mentioned on my monthly pay slip. Which is the better way? Should I show them separate pay slip for bonus or it should be mentioned on monthly salary pay slip? Please also send me format of payslip at abdullahinayat@gmail.com Thanks alot.

Dear abdik1980,

Can you send me your format of salary slip "Including Bonus". Bcz My HR dennies me to provide the document. My mail ID is mention in the above post.

Regarding your point Single pay slip "Including Bonus" Makes more sence.

This is my perosnal thinking.
Rest is upto you.

I don't have soft copy of bonus payslips, but it's same as normal salary slips. Only thing it mentions what type of bonus it is. Rest is same.

According to me, if your bonus for Aug is paid in month of Sept, then it's better to have a different bonus slip, assuming that you have field called "date of payment" on payslips.

For eg. Month - Aug, Date of payment - 10-Sep-2008, Festival bonus Amount - 2000 USD.

Better to follow the same format of your normal salary slips with modification of certain fields
