Am on the 5 years parents route and about to renew, I did the A2 life skills speaking and listening test for my first application, would I need to do another test for the renewal application or I can use the last one I did?

It may stand you better chances doing B1 as this remains useful down the line till citizenship so far the test meets the requirements when the time comes.

B1 has a validity of 2years, however once you have used it for a successful application before and years down the line if it is and provider still on the approved list of HO, you can use it for your ILR and all.
