Passport not taken at appointment

Post by berjerak2 » Wed Oct 06, 2021 12:01 pm

Hello all, today we applied to switch from fiance visa to spouse visa in UK. Visa center worke just scanned my passport(applicant) and gave it back. He said I won't get a vignette. Apparently I will only get a brp card. Is that enough to travel tho? Is it the same case for everyone? Im just thinking maybe I applied for the wrong category here now and freaking out.

The BRP card proves your UK immigration status and you will have to carry it with you when travelling. I believe that passport vignettes are/have been phased out.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Don't freak out, the worker gave you correct information, vignette doesn't get sticked to your passport for your application, the BRP is what you will get.

Ahhh thank you very much. When I saw spouse visa vignettes on internet, I thought it would be the same case.
