Spouse visa and expiring passport

My wife has a biometric residence permit and a Russian passport. The permit expires in May and her passport expires in February. She will apply for a new passport in November which is the first appointment we can get. Questions are:

- Do we need to do anything with the residence permit if the passport changes?
- Will we have an issue that she entered on her old passport and will next leave on a new one?
- How early should we apply for a new spouse visa? Or is it a new residence permit?

- How early should we apply for a new spouse visa? Or is it a new residence permit? You will be applying for Further Leave to Remain FLRM which culminates in the issuance of new BRP when approves. You can apply 28days before completing 30months in UK counting from the date of entry initial entry.

One more question and I think the answer is yes but want to check. She took the language test to B1 level for her first spouse visa. It has a two year expiry but I think she can use it as it was accepted for her first visa? I think we need to check the provider is still accepted as well. Is this correct? Would be a pointless cost to take it again.
