Applying for BRP while awaiting decision on naturalisation application

Can one apply for BRP while awaiting decision on naturalisation application. My ILR is previous passport so cannot be used for right to work checks this days. The only way to prove right to work in the interim period is to get an BRP but is it possible to do so while waiting for naturalisation decision?

You still have your ILR status whilst waiting for your naturalisation and only a British citizen once you have attended the ceremony which can take many months. ILR is under immigration rules and you could still apply for a BRP card as far as I know - may also take quite a few months .... though you may have to scrap the card soon after receiving it as for British citizens it's meaningless.

You only need if you are changing your job, without this you can't get a new job.

Yes, it is because of starting a new job - so just want to be sure before applying for naturalisation that I can still apply for BRP if I need to?
