Nope my status hasnt changed at all? nufin at all..hubbi rang them they said sum time next week....they said that last week......dunt now what to do ......

Naz08 - i know its difficult, just try and keep your spirits up girl! Inshallah things will turn out for the best. Just keep the faith, remain positive and pray that when you do here smthg, that it is in fact the big visa stamp on your hubbys passport!!

Asslam alay kum

My visa status has changed to 'Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application'

My spouse has phoned the gerrys office and they have replied to say that do not come until we have phoned you.

Also i have not recieved any sort of letter from the embassy regarding my application. Could you tell me what is in the letter

Finally could anyone tell me that with what they have said has my application been sucessful or not and if so what should be my next step.

cha_cha1 - when did u submitt it and were if u dunt mind me asking....islambad number is on the website have a look der u will find it....when u pick the passport up there wil be a letter with it...they dont send it to u.....u gota wait for the call they will either ring today or tomrrow...if nt go down to the office

chacha1 - firstly, its great news that the visa status has changed!! happy for you. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing what te outcome is until your wife goes to receive the passport. As for the letter, not sure what you mean here ... what are you expecting??? To my knowledge they dont send you anything, but I may stand corrected on that point.
Basically just wait til you get the call, have your missus go & collect the passport and then hope that its got a visa stamp on it. Good luck!!

Yess.........
My wife got a call today in the morning to go and collect her passport 2mrow morning.
Been thru mixed emotions today but all will be revealed 2mrow wether or not it has been accepted or not.

I just pray that all goes well 2mrow and everyone that are waiting for the outcome

Cudn't sleep at all last nyt its been the longest night ever, twisting and turning in bed Lolz.

Neways i applied on the 16th sept at the mirpur office.

Me wife is at the embassy and there is a huge queue outside so its a matter of time before they let her in and give her the news......

hey the BHC sent me another email they wrote this.

"Thank you for your e-mail regarding your application. I can confirm that we have received your application and that it is being examined. Unfortunately we are not in a position to make a decision at the moment. We will be in contact accordingly and regret to say that precise time frame can't be given at this stage .

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum".

Regards,it is the same as the frst one.......shall i email them again..... looks like they just sent the same as the frst 1.......

Hi Naz

They have responded to your email which is great. It looks likwe just a standard response once again. I think your application is still being processed and so as they are unable to provide specifics they send out the 'automatic' response email. I wouldnt panic or get distressed girl, it doesnt necessarily mean anything other than a little longer wait os required. I know its difficult Naz but continue to remain patient & inshallah things will move and progress for you!! Please dont get yourself upset or disheartened - chin up & SMILE!!

oahmed - wait is all i can do @ the moment so i am a bit upset..i mean why is it taking them soo long...oh well hopefully bye next week i will have sum kind of update it hard cuz most people it is takin them 4-5 weeks and there is us who are still waiting

...and i reaali miss hubbi just want to be this to be finished so we can move on wiv our lives as normall...

oh yeh wantd to ask u one ques...i work full time yeh buh it is a on going contract not permenent does that matter???? the contract was to end today buh they have extended till december..........do u tink that is reason For the delay....

Naz - Im a contractor and have been for a number of years ... I got a letter from my agency showing my employment to date & my employment contract til April next year. I am contracted thru my own limited company and provided full set of business accounts (showing full income) and tax payments.

Are you a temp or official contracter?? do yo have your own company??

I think provided you have a employers letter showing your employment & income levels you'll be fine. Does the letter mention at all that the contract will be extended further?

I think you will be fine - I think it will be better to not think about what has been submitted coz you'll analyse it to death and only doubt stuff And work yourself up over it.

Relax, remain patient and everything will be ok inshallah

IM A temp contracter and no i dunt own a company i just work for one..in the letter it showed im under contract and work another company and what i do and how much i earn, also wrote if they any problems to contact my Agency person he wrote his number on der.....on the ltter it shows that i have been on a contract under since june and still are, didnt write the end date...gettn the paper work ready for it to be extended today

the gerrys website has been updated here is what they are sayn

"Some elements of your application may be sent overseas for processing. This may result in extended decision making times"

If you have the letters from your employerthen that should be fine.

They've talked about the processing going abroad so it aint a surprise! Just keep the faith girl inshallah everything will be ok
