Documents to prove residence

Post by harrobaz » Sun Nov 07, 2021 12:33 pm

Hi everyone,

I hope you are well,

I sent my application through to UKVI and I'm currently uploading documents to UKVCAS ahead of my biometric appointment.

One of the document that I have to send is:
  • "Proof of living in the UK for **me** for 5 years if applying in your own right and 3 years if applying as the spouse of a British citizen"
Does anyone have any guidance as to what the Home Office considers appropriate proof of living in the UK? I couldn't find any documentation. The only bit I could find is this (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/eu-settleme ... -residence) but this relates to the EU Settlement Scheme, not naturalisation.

I'm an EU national so my passport isn't stamped on the way in/out, so I assume this can't be used as proof (it's basically entirely blank).

At the moment I've uploaded my P60s for 5 years, 5 years worth of monthly payslips and a screenshot of my HMRC records (showing 5 years full contribution) - but I'm a bit concerned that there's no list showing the documents that the HO accepts.

Does anyone have such a list?

Many thanks.

Settled Status is immigration - naturalisation is separate, under nationality laws.
There is a para in the AN guidance if you haven't looked already - Page 37: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... _final.pdf
It's mainly official type documents - if you worked for the same employer for five years you could even get away with just 1 document (employer letter)/
Five P60s are quite sufficicient - nothing else. Payslips and contributions screenshot not required. UKVI won't be reviewing your income/taxes/NI amounts.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.
