UKM-If Mother is citizen by descent/other than descent

Hi,
Just want to know if I apply UKM through my mom who was born british subject -CUKC in Kenya colony and eventually got her passport renewed in UK after living for few years.

I am not sure she got her citizenship by descent from her british parents or other than by descent.

Can someone please clear, will I be able to apply in both conditions?

If the mother was born a CUKC in a colony, then she would be a CUKC otherwise than by descent.

How did she acquire RoA? Was either of her parents or any of her grandparents born in the UK (not the colony)? Alternatively did she reside in the UK for five years before 1983?

She did stay in UK for 5 years before 1970 and I was born in 1977(not in UK)
How to prove the stay that's a question now as she did not travel to UK after 1970.
