ILR 10 years - 18 month gap ??

Post by iceman010899 » Sun Oct 26, 2008 5:25 pm

Hello,

I know someone who is going to apply for ILR under the long residence rules. But the gap is about 12-18 months. Is there anyway around this ? Can the caseworker use discretion in this matter ? Yes, the gap is huge so what can be said to convince the caseworker ?

Thanks.

I'd say it would be impossible.

Forget it, there is no way that a gap like that will be entertained. Applying is just a waste of money.
Caseworkers do not have discretion to make up the rules to suit an individual who is so obviously outside the rules. This is what you are effectively asking.
