University deferred

Hi, i got an admission in UK for my BA hons, i did my online portal registration 1 day prior to the deadline. Now when ive arrived in the UK, the uni says they did not accept my online registration, and want me to defer my course to next year. But they are asking me to go back to home country and defer. I can not go back and bear so many expenses. I am alone here in the UK, Can the university not defer my course to next year themselves? Which will be the intake in 2022? Please someone guide how can i proceed further on this matter while being in the UK.

This is not an immigration issue. You need to talk to your uni.
