Do you know when in February? An application may be possible within 14 days after expiry of leave, relying on 39E. Provide a good reason for the late application.

Suitability requirements for a Graduate
GR 2.1. The applicant must not fall for refusal under Part 9: grounds for refusal.

GR 2.2. The applicant must not be:
  • (a) in the UK in breach of immigration laws, except that where paragraph 39E applies, that period of overstaying will be disregarded; or
  • (b) on immigration bail.
Alternately, apply prior to expiry of leave and reapply after a refusal?

Unless you are eligible to ask for an exceptional assurance, you need to look at other work visa options that you can apply for from your home country, like a Skilled worker visa.

Asking for an exceptional assurance requires proof that you cannot leave the UK due to the pandemic. It is not just a workaround for someone who needs more time in the UK for other reasons.
