Stamp 4 application

Post by douglaslimab » Mon Jan 24, 2022 7:32 pm

Hello everybody,

Today I got the the Stamp 4 in my passport, but the person put the expiring date for the next 7th of April.. and told me that my card will arrive in less than 2 weeks.

My question is do I have to apply for renewing it by April? Or my card will be sent with another expiring date, different from my passport?..

Thank you

Hey!
How did you get it, what was the reason? How long were previous stamps?
Check your passport expiration date, maybe that's the reason for a curtailed date.
Last time I got my stamp (2018) it had the same date as an IRP. Not sure how it is in your case.

Hi,

Thank you for replying, I applied with my wife under the EU Treaty Rights, she is Spanish.

My passport is valid until 2028.

Is it your first stamp? Did you get a decision on your Treaty Rights application?
Did you ask the officer about it?
There is an extension until May 31st, so that doesn't really make sense if that's your end date. Maybe it's given so you have a legal status until they give you a decision on your application. I'm not that familiar with Treaty Rights, do hopefully someone will jump in, but that's my two cents.

Your IRP card is going to be valid for the correct period - usually 1-5 years depending on your scenario.

The stamp on your passport is merely a proof of initial registration, which covers you for the period between now and when your card arrives. When you renew your permission, you won’t be given a new stamp in the passport.
