Apply Skilled worker Dependent visa when main applicant ILR in process

Hi All,

My ILR is being processed. My visa expires in April 2022 and so does my family's.
My family is planning to extend their PBS dependent visa.
If my ILR processing take upto 6 months, Can they get their visa within 8 weeks or will it be on hold until HO make their decision on my ILR?
I understand their validity of VISA is completely linked to mine but will they get a Biometric card with 3 years visa.
Note: The CoS when I applied previously for my Tier2 visa is only till August.

If you apply while your ILR is still in progress, then yes, their visa extension will be done after you have been granted ILR. And yes, their visa will have 3 years validity based on the fact that you have ILR and they are extending their Tier 2 dependent visa. You can have a look at the timeline thread for processing times for ILR - it hopefully should not take the full 6 months for you.
