Unemployed mother UK visitor visa

Post by gautam410 » Mon Jan 31, 2022 4:33 pm

We want to invite my mother-in-law to the UK for the first time, she has no travel history, and my wife and I will sponsor her trip. for her side of documents, we want to attach her bank statement along with my father-in-law's bank statement because my mil is a housewife. She lives with my father-in-law and is fully dependent on him for day-to-day expenses. My fil transfers some amount of money every month to her account for day-to-day purchases like grocery, milk, house help etc. My mother-in-law uses some but saves most of it every month. She has saved around £2000 in her account. Which option should we select here?

also, the transfer is visible in my father-in-law's statement as well as my mother-in-law's statement. Do I have to document it in the cover letter or will this be self-explanatory for ECO?.

Burden of proof rests with you/applicant so even if it is obvious, do document and state it clearly, do not go with "it's self explanatory"
