Visitors visa to fiance's visa

Post by Ilya7 » Sat Nov 01, 2008 9:42 pm

Hey everyone,

My fiancé from America of 2 years is going to be purchasing a fiancés visa soon in the hopes that we can live together in the UK.

However her parents are threatening to kick her out of her house by January. This is bad due to the fact i work only part time (25hrs a week), and would obviously not be allowed to look after her.

Is it possible to get her over here on a visitors visa and then, after while apply for a fiancés visa without her being sent back to the USA. She would have no where to go if she was sent back, its been so long since we have been together that we just want to settle down now.

Do any of you have any advice? Anything would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Peter.

Will you be able to show sufficient finances to support her when you apply for a fiance visa and have adequate accomodation for you both to live in?
Are you both over 21?
