FPNs and missing days in CSI

Post by ovalyi » Sat Feb 05, 2022 11:06 pm

Hi all,

I am about to start the application process, but being worried about these two points, so before I do anything would like to read your opinions about my situation. I have received 'settled status' under the EU scheme on 05/12/2020.
FPNs: I have received three FPNs for dropping cigarette butts back in 2017 (jan, may, aug). All were paid on time and since then I had no fpn-s (or anything else) at all. Should I decare them or they will be considered as spent - however just read that ACRO system keeps those records for 6 years.

Missing days in CSI
I've got 9 days in 2016 (between two jobs not knowing about this CSI rule) and 5 days in 2022 (tested positive for covid and being stuck in another country, therefore was not able to start at the new job as planned) without CSI. Will these gaps be making issues during my application or could I ask for discretion?

Thank you for your help guys in advance!

FPNs - should not be an issue but generally it's avisable to declare them.
CSI - this is not an issue - you were allowed time to look for a job as part of exercising treaty rights in 2016, 2022 is irrelevant as CSI is not required for Settled Status.

Thank you,

Regards FPNs I have not got the evidence about payments, these were lost when moving from a place to another one and I can't attach them. So if I do not declare them will it be resulting in rejection of my application (assuming the caseworker will be awared of them when checking for these records)

CSI: even if I did not applied for job seeker allowance during these 9 days (knowing I would start my new job soon) would not be problem?

Job seeking allowance used to be 6 months under Treaty Rights, so nothing to worry here, and in any case who would sell yoiu a policy for 6 days???

Re. FPNs we don't know what information case workers have access to but you are unlikely to be rejected, unless you are a serial offender, been taken to court, not paid fines,,, Just explain what it was about and that you don't have any details.

Ok, my last question is FPNs should be declared in a separate cover letter or during the process?

There may be space for a free form comment or you can load a covering letter with your other documents.
